Operation Christmas Stocking Thanks You

I would like to share with you the following post I received from the recepients of everyone's generous donations to Operation Christmas Stocking.

You and our countrymen are what's most important to our cause and mission here at the 376 Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron. We thank your team for all the support!

Lindenhurst PTA sponsors Legislators Breakfast

The Lindenhurst PTA Council sponsored their annual Legislators Breakfast at Lindenhurst High School, which included Suffolk County Legislator Wayne Horsley, NYS Assemblyman Bob Sweeney, NYS Senator Owen Johnson, and a represeantative from NYS Senator Charles Fuschillo's office. Questions from the PTA, Students, and community organizations were directed to aour elected officials. I was the orator for the Lindenhurst Joint Civic Association.

Wanda McCabe honored for her Civic contributions

Wanda McCabe, President of the Heer Park Civic Association was feted by friends and family at the Sea Haven Restaurant for all her work in the community. Lindenhurst Mayor Tom Brennan presented Wanda with a proclamation and declared January 5, 2010, Wanda McCabe Day in the Village of Lindenhurst. Wanda will be truly missed by the community when she leaves for her new home in Florida.

Tanner Park Senior Center

Copiague Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year

At the annual Copiague Chamber of Commerce/Kiwaniis Holiday party, I was honored as Member of the Year for dedication and hard work for the Copiague community.

I'm shown here received a plaque of recognition from Copiague Chamber of Commerce President Sharon Fattorusso.

Island Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble

The Island Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble performed Christmas Music at the Tanner Park Senior Center to the delight of all that attended. The Seniors from all the Town of Babylon Senior Centers enjoyed the concert immensely. From Left to right was Martha Rabin on the flute, Beryl Marshall, Donna Geiger, Mary McLaughlin and Nancy Maia on the violins, Lisa Brieff on the viola and Julie Fazio on the cello.

Meridale Park Civic Association Meeting

John Lisi, President of the Joint Civics Association of Lindenhurst spoke at the recent Meridale Park Civic Association meeting regarding the upcoming January 13, 2010, open meeting for Lindenhurst Village residents. It will be held at the Edward Bower School on Montauk Highway at 7pm.
