Island Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble


The Island Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble performed Christmas Music at the Tanner Park Senior Center to the delight of all that attended. The Seniors from all the Town of Babylon Senior Centers enjoyed the concert immensely. From Left to right was Martha Rabin on the flute, Beryl Marshall, Donna Geiger, Mary McLaughlin and Nancy Maia on the violins, Lisa Brieff on the viola and Julie Fazio on the cello.

Meridale Park Civic Association Meeting

John Lisi, President of the Joint Civics Association of Lindenhurst spoke at the recent Meridale Park Civic Association meeting regarding the upcoming January 13, 2010, open meeting for Lindenhurst Village residents. It will be held at the Edward Bower School on Montauk Highway at 7pm. Operation Christmas Stocking "Stuffers"


The Lindenhurst High School JrROTC cadets, under the direction of Executive Officer Nicole Connors filled stockings with donated goodies for the troops serving overseas for Operation Christmas Stocking. Many thanks to all those who contributed so generously to this worthy cause, especially to the merchants at the AT&T Wireless Store, in Lindenhurst, F&D Supply Co., in Copiague, Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate, in Massapequa Park, and Wescott Group Realty, in Babylon, who served as drop off points for donations, and the Lindenhurst Eye Surgeons.
